Event Photo Editing: Whoa, You gotta see this!

There I was, framing my shot to capture 4 beautiful ladies posing for an event photo to share on social media. I double checked my lighting, I made sure the ladies all had a flattering pose, I waited for the person in the background to walk by… waiting.. waiting… THERE!! I pressed the shutter button and we did it! We created a pretty nice photo of the 4 ladies posing.

Before any editing: The lady on left blinked and there is a guest walking in the background. However, all of the ladies have a great pose and a wonderful smile.

I glanced down to make sure everything looked good and OMG! The lady on the left blinked!! Ok, let’s do this again. After 3 or 4 tries because various people kept walking in the background or the lady kept blinking, I told the ladies I have enough to create the perfect photo in post production.

After dropping the photos in Photoshop and using one of the photos where the lady didn’t blink, I swapped out her eyes for the eyes that were closed. Not only that, but I removed the lady in the background so your focus is primarily on the 4 ladies. And finally, I color corrected the photo (adjusted the colors to have a more beauty look) and adjusted the exposure just a little to make the image even more flattering.

The final edit after color correcting, replacing the eyes and removing the person from the background.

So what do you think, could you tell I swapped out the eyes on the left or removed the person on the right? Do you know any other event photographers who goes above and beyond for creating the best images possible?
